QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER (LABORATORY)

ANNUAL SALARY: $52,008 - $55,008
Full-time, benefited position

The Missouri Department of Agriculture, Animal Health Division, has a full-time benefited position available. The position will be domiciled in the Springfield area.

DEFINITION

This is professional work coordinating and implementing a quality assurance program in a facility providing specialized testing services, or assisting with the implementation of intense quality assurance program of substantial scope and complexity for animal health diagnostic laboratories.

Position is responsible for the design, implementation and continuation or upkeep of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production or testing equal to ISO 17025. The Quality Assurance Manager oversees testing of processes and products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or univserity with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Medical Laboratory Technology, natural sciences, or closely related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Working in a quality system similar to ISO 17025.
  • Working as a quality assistant or quality manager for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Familiar with a variety of laboratory equipment, operations, safety and procedures with a minimum of 6 years experience.
  • Auditing, writing, reviewing and approving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reviewing, writing, root cause analysis and following up on Non-conformances.
  • Ensuring that the laboratory is meeting all the standards of accreditation.
  • Experience in performing internal audits and leadership role with external audits.
