STARTING ANNUAL SALARY: $37,620 $44,352

The Missouri Wine and Grape Board located at the Department of Agriculture, has a full-time position located in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Job Description:
An employee in this class is responsible for statewide promotional and marketing activities for the Wine and Grape Board in the area of wines and juices.
This position will be responsible for various duties. These duties include, but are not limited to:
Development, organization and presentation of information to wine industry members, general public and other entities or organizations.
Assisting the Marketing Director with various initiatives and marketing plans and the facilitation thereof.
Active participation in the preparation, completion and distribution of news releases, brochures, newsletters and other articles for publication.
Contributing to the social media voice for Missouri Wines.
Event planning, preparation and execution.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, agricultural groups and associations, wine industry members, media, community organizations, government officials and the general public.
Collaboration and coordination of promotional materials to stimulate interest and support for marketing programs.
Representation of program at tastings, events and promotions.
Professional communication through written correspondence.
Preparation and development of concise reports.

This position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, as well as a working knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing and public relations. Applicants with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, photography and/or videography skills are preferred. In addition, this position requires the ability to work varying schedules, (including some evenings and weekends) travel in the performance of assigned duties, organize and complete daily work schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of professional or technical experience in marketing, agribusiness or closely related experience; and graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in marketing, agriculture, public relations, business or public administration or closely related areas. (Graduate education in the above areas may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for deficiencies in the required experience.)
